The Impressive Plays of Female Poker Pro Thithi TranBarry Greenstein is of course known as one of the best professional poker players. But aside from that, Greenstein is also known as the former boyfriend of Thithi Tran, a Vietnamese-American who became a female professional poker player because of the encouragement of Greenstein. We may not know the reason why the couple broke up, but what we know is that Greenstein did something great to the life of Thithi Tran when they were still a couple. He successfully taught her the mechanics of playing poker, he successfully taught her several playing techniques that she has been successfully applying, and he successfully encouraged her to join tournaments. Now, Thithi Tran is known as a successful female professional poker player. Born in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 5, 1960, it was in 1982 when Thithi Tran moved to the United States. She then became involved in the electronics industry, having worked for Silicon Valley. Unfortunately, she met an automobile accident that caused her a disability, leaving her unable to continue her work at Silicon Valley. Fortunately, she found a career in the poker industry. While Greenstein was patiently honing her to become one of the best female professional poker players, Thithi Tran was teaching him the Vietnamese language. Being a teacher to one another became a debate as to who was the better teacher between the two of them. Greenstein believes that he was the better teacher and it could be proven by the achievements of Thithi Tran in the world of poker. Thithi Tran, however, had a defense for Greenstein's belief, saying that her success in the poker industry can be attributed to the fact that she was a better student. Thithi Tran may have joined the World Series of Poker in April 1998 for the first time, but nevertheless, she successfully ended up as the fourth placer in a Limit Hold'em game. A year later, she played a similar game at the 30th Annual World Series of Poker and successfully became a runner up. This female professional poker player was also seen in the next World Series of Poker tournaments as she had money finishes countless times. A resident of Los Angeles, California, Thithi Tran also showcased her abilities in playing poker when she joined the National Heads-Up Poker Championship on March 5, 2005. This female professional poker player may have ended up only as the 14th placer, but she was able to defeat poker giants such as Chris Moneymaker and Tom McEvoy. She was also the only female professional poker player to cash in the money, defeating female poker giants Evelyn Ng, Cyndy Violette, Kathy Liebert, Jennifer Harman, and Annie Duke. Because of the skill that she displayed at such event, she became a well-respected female professional poker player. What makes her colleagues respect her even more is the fact that she is a single mother raising two children. |
